On Monday May 6 will begin voting on the participatory budgets of the City of Cartagena in schools in the year 2019. Some 6,000 students from 11 centers (seven schools and four institutes) are called to choose the best proposals they themselves have developed to improve its facilities.
Among them are air conditioning systems, sports and computer equipment, public address and musical instruments.
For voting, an electoral census has been created in each center and the corresponding polling stations have been set up, composed of the students themselves.
Each school and institute has a budget of 10 thousand euros, so the total amount of these participatory budgets in schools will be 110 thousand euros.
Voting will be staggered between May 6 and 8, and the results will be published on the 10th.
Voting will start on Monday at 9:30 am at the College of José María de La Puerta.
It will be followed by San Fulgencio School of Pozo Estrecho, at 12 noon.
