The Five Hills that delimit the historical helmet of the city, with a route of 10 kilometers, will be scene on Saturday May 11 of the III Night Race Arx Asdrúbalis, that organizes the Federation of Troops and Legions of Carthaginians and Romans with the collaboration of the City of Cartagena, through the Department of Sports, Tourism and Infrastructure, Local Police and Civil Protection, and the sponsorship of Repsol, Hidrogea, Amstel and Discecar.
'A sporting event that adds, in addition, a marked charitable character, since part of the collection for the sale of numbers will be allocated to two entities, the Hospitality of Santa Teresa and the Association of Cystic Fibrosis of the Region of Murcia', such and as pointed out by the Councilor for Sports, Manuel Mora, during the presentation, today Friday, of the race, where he was accompanied by the General Director of Sports, Alonso Gómez;
the Vice President of the Federation of Troops and Legions, Fulgencio Garrido;
and the sports coordinator of the Federation, Mariano Pérez.
The night test, with scheduled departure at 21.15 hours from San Francisco Square and finish in the same place, 'will travel the five hills through emblematic sites of the city, with ups and downs by the hill of San José, the Windmill, Monte Sacro, Castillo de la Concepción and Despeñaperros, making known the rich archaeological heritage that Cartagena enjoys, "said the mayor of Sports.
Prior to the night race, two more tests will be held.
In the morning, at 10.00 am, there will be a Senderista March, with the same route, and from 20.00 hours, a 2 kilometer race for the "young warriors".
The organizers hope to overcome this year the participation of previous editions, with more than 700 runners and around 200 walkers.
Remember that the registration period ends on Wednesday, May 8, with the bib numbers at 12 euros, those at the senderista march at 8 euros and those at the young warriors race at 3 euros.
