Moto UPCT, one of the student competition teams of the Polytechnic University of Cartagena, will host the first race of the first national university motorcycling championship, Moto Engineering Cup, which takes place this weekend at the Cartagena circuit.
In the test twelve Spanish universities will compete with the motorcycles that the university students designed and manufactured for the international Moto Student competition.
After the race in Cartagena, other events will take place on mythical circuits such as Cheste and Montmeló.
"The objective is to continue developing the bike we created for Moto Student while we are already designing the one for the next edition, which will be held in 2020," explains Pedro José López Ribelles, 'team leader' of Moto UPCT.
The UPCT competition motorcycle prototype will be piloted again in this test by Kevin Sojo.
This Friday afternoon there is free practice session, on Saturday morning will be the timed events and on Sunday the races in which the winning university of this competition will be decided.
