The Association of Businesswomen and Professionals of Cartagena and Comarca (AMEP) held on May 2, in Room B of the El Batel Auditorium, the presentation of the awards of the 1st edition of the AMEP 'Mujeres que suman' Awards.
More than four hundred guests attended the event, including the mayor of Cartagena, Ana Belén Castejón, the councilor of the area of ​​Public Function, Finance and Quality of Life of the City of Cartagena, Manuel Mora, the councilors of the municipal corporation, Pilar Marcos and Manuel Padín, the Minister of Family and Equal Opportunities, Violante Tomás, the general director of Women and Equality of Opportunities, Alicia Barquero, the government delegate, Francisco Jiménez, the president of the COEC, Pedro Pablo Hernández, the rector of the UPCT, Alejandro Díaz, among others.
The awards that were presented at the El Batel Auditorium were designed by the sculptor Maite Defruc, where the "sonority of women" is represented.
The president of the Confederation of Business Organizations of Cartagena (COEC), Pedro Pablo Hernández, delivered the Woman Entrepreneur Award to the chef of the Cartagena restaurant 'Magoga', María Gómez.
The clothing designer who changes color with the mood, Constanza Mas, received the Women's Innovation and Entrepreneurship Award, from the government delegate, Francisco Jiménez.
FEDEPE, represented by its president Ana Bujaldón, won the Promotion of Women Award, from the counselor Violante Tomás.
The mayor of Cartagena, Ana Belén Castejón, was the last to deliver the award, this time, the Communication Committed to Women prize went to Chelo Cánovas, presenter of Radio Gaceta FM.
In addition, the mayor made a closing speech of the ceremony praising the work of AEMEP and women entrepreneurs, while the opening was made by the president of AMEP, Nuria Castillo.
