As it has been traditional, this Thursday, May 2, there has been a military stop in the Port of Cartagena, which has been remembered the heroes of 1808 in charge of the Antiaircraft Artillery Regiment No.73.
The Force has been formed by Squad, Band, an Honors Battery with Line of Vintage Cannon Salvas.
During the ceremony, which began at 12 o'clock, honors have been paid to the National Enseña and to the authority that has presided over the act, the Brigadier General, Iñigo Pareja Rodríguez, General Head of the Antiaircraft Artillery Command of the Army. .
After the reading of the Royal Decree of the Regency and the Glossa of May 2, the Oath of Flag of civilian personnel and tribute to the deceased has been celebrated, as well as the imposition of different decorations to the personnel of the Regiment.
The events were attended by the mayor of Cartagena, Ana Belén Castejón, along with the councilor of the Area of ​​Public Function, Manuel Mora, as well as the president of the Assembly, Rosa Peñalver, among others.
"As every May 2, it is an unequivocal sign by the City Council of a very good relationship with all the forces and security forces of the State, the Navy and Artillery," declares the mayor.
It has also taken place the anthem of the Gunners during which the cannons have been fired as is tradition, along with the parade to the Artillery Park, which has put an end to the acts.
