The lack of transparency of the municipal government of the PSOE has returned to be clear after learning that the City of Cartagena did not publish information on the discharge of rainwater with hydrocarbons from Repsol to the Escombreras rambla, happened the early morning of April 20 .
During the meeting that took place this morning, in the administrative building of San Miguel, with the participation of the municipal groups, among them the councilor of MC Cartagena, Francisco Calderón, the person in charge of Quality of Life, Manuel Mora (PSOE), and the Local Police, it has become clear that the municipal government was aware of this incident and, only, acted after the public complaint made to the media by the municipal spokesman of the Cartagena training, José López.
Francisco Calderón has warned about the fact that "when we find out that the City Council is hiding information, we have the doubt of knowing how many times it will be happening without our knowing it".
"Once we witnessed the complicit silence of PSOE and PP in relation to the refinery spills from the different administrations, which leads us to show our concern about the environmental quality of our municipality, an interest that socialists and the public obviously do not seem to share", Calderón has denounced.
The report of the Department of Environmental Management of the City Council recognizes that "information is not available on the total volume of polluted rainwater that has been discharged or on the pollutant load of the same."
