Last Wednesday, May 1, there was a tribute to the mining monument for the celebration of its 40th anniversary in the Plaza del Minero located in the town of Llano del Beal,

The event was attended by the Councilor of the Public Services Area, Juan Pedro Torralba, accompanied by the president of the Neighborhood Board of Llano del Beal, Carmen Soto, Councilman Manuel Padín and former miners of this town, who were given some flowers that, in turn, they placed in the monument that commemorates all the mineral workers of the time.

During the day, which was enlivened by a musical accompaniment and replicas of the monument to the former miners were given as thanks to their service and work in the mines, they could visit an exhibition with photographs of the workers' time, as well as the inauguration of the monument in 1979 by the mayor, Enrique Escudero de Castro.
