The ADE Program of the Department of Sports of Cartagena has organized a training talk on nutrition for the students of the Concepción Arenal school in Cartagena and San Fulgencio de Pozo Estrecho in order to educate students in this field.
Lorena Luján and Victor Serano, specialists in nutrition and dietetics for athletes, have made a meeting with students of 6th grade of the two schools to instruct them a little more in the world of nutrition with the idea of teaching and knowing what is healthy eating, together with the practice of any sport.
The exhibition has been very dynamic for the boys and girls who have been able to participate at all times with their doubts and questions, where Lorena and Víctor answered with explanatory examples adapted to their ages and that aroused all their curiosity.
At the beginning of the intervention, they explained the foods and basic components in healthy diets, talking with the students and asking them about their habits at home.
Lorena has indicated some basic guidelines of good nutrition, giving as an example a dish with colored zones corresponding to each type of food that should be taken at each meal on a daily basis.
The students have been able to discover some of the most curious and healthy recipes, replacing processed foods with such basic things as fruit and vegetables.
Finally, Victor has provided some examples with the world of sports that have aroused the interest of children, putting as an example the diet of Messi and how with good habits and effort we can achieve an unbeatable physical shape.
These days are very well received because they provide basic knowledge for health and good habits to young people who increasingly choose other types of diets not so healthy in their day to day.
With examples from the world of sports he arouses his curiosity and becomes more involved in trying to change his eating habits.
That is why this type of educational talks are so important for their education and training, where they can also carry out their knowledge to their routine at home.
The ADE program is organized by the Department of Sports of the City of Cartagena and the Official College of Graduates in Physical Education and Sports of the Autonomous Community.
