On Thursday, May 2 at 10:30 am, at the Roman Amphitheater in Cartagena, the program of activities of the 11th edition of The Night of the Museums will be presented.
The mayor of Cartagena, Ana Belén Castejón, and the Councilor for Culture and Youth, David Martínez, will be in charge of exhibiting the activities planned for Saturday night, May 18.
The International Museum Day is celebrated worldwide since 1977. The long night of museums was born, under that name, in the city of Berlin that same year.
Since then, many other European cities (http://nuitdesmusees.culture.fr) join this initiative promoted by the Council of Europe joining the commemorative events of ICOM (International Council of Museums) within the International Day of Museums.
