Coinciding with Mother's Day, which is celebrated this Sunday, May 5, the Festival Commission of the Aljorra, in collaboration with the Department of Equality of the City of Cartagena, organized the 'I March for a just cause' against violence of genre.
It was this Tuesday, April 30, when this charity event was presented by the Councilor for Equality, David Martínez, together with the organizers of the Festival Committee, its President Jesús Martínez and Sandra Rabal.
"It is very important to raise awareness throughout the year and raise awareness on this issue," says the councilor, "and reach all corners of our municipality to fight against this scourge."
A large part of the profits collected with the tickets of the march, which will cost € 5, will go to the "Asociación Quiero Crecer", which serves daily the children of couples who have suffered male violence.
The entrance also includes T-shirt and drink.
The route will consist of 2 km, which can be done walking next to the banner with the slogan "Nothing is easy" or running, through the streets of the town of La Aljorra.
Tickets can be purchased in advance by bank transfer indicating name and size of T-shirt or the same day 5 in the Civic Center sports track, where the march will leave at 11 am.
From the Department of Equality, everyone is reminded of the CAVI municipal service, aimed at the attention of victims of gender violence in a comprehensive and free.
