22,891 people visited the tourist interpretation centers of Cartagena Puerto de Culturas during Holy Week 2019, according to the data provided by the Cartagena City Council consortium.
This figure represents an increase of 27% with respect to the Holy Week of 2018, which translates into 4,833 more people.
And all this despite the bad weather conditions recorded, especially by the rain.

For days, Holy Monday was the day with the largest number of visitors to the interpretation centers, with 3,658 visitors, almost 2,700 more than on the same date in 2018.
The second day with the highest increase in visitors compared to 2018 was Holy Thursday, with 3,883 visitors, 1,813 more people than the previous year.
As for the interpretation centers, the Roman Theater of Cartagena was once again the most visited this Holy Week, with a total of 11,950 people.
This figure increases by 2,580 who visited this site last year.
The rest of the busiest places in the Holy Week of Cartagena, declared of international tourist interest, have been the panoramic lift, the Castillo de la Concepción, the Barrio del Foro Romano and the tourist catamaran.
On the occasion of Friday of Dolores, local holiday day, Cartagena Puerto de Culturas organized an open day.
In it, there were 4,286 people, with an increase of 2% compared to 2018.
