Tomorrow, Tuesday, April 23, starting at 8:00 p.m., in the Cultural Classroom of the Cajamurcia Foundation at Casa Pedreño (Icue), the Cartagena Futuro Association will celebrate the XXVIII edition of Los Culturales, on this occasion dedicated to analyzing the new Statute of Autonomy of the Region of Murcia.
Thus, under the title 'Notes on decentralization', Cartagena Futuro will have the presence of the professor of Constitutional Law of the UM (University of Murcia), Francisco Manuel García Costa to shed the details and analyze the regional text.
In this sense, the president of Cartagena Futuro, Ignacio Borgoñós, has assured that "it is an essential debate today in the society of Cartagena, since there have been voices against the closure of the Statute without having been previously discussed or known. "
Undoubtedly, Borgoñós remarked, "it is an issue that concerns not only the people of Cartagena, but all the citizens of the Region, but as far as Cartagena is concerned, there are important issues to be clarified, such as its location in the Autonomous Community or budget distribution, where the municipality always goes bad. "
Finally, the president of Cartagena Futuro has indicated that "the Statute must be known by all and hence the need for this Cultural, where it should be clear the legislative capital or the different ways of decentralization that the text raises and if this leaves open the door to the creation of other provinces. "
In this way, the Cartagena Futuro Association continues to bring issues of interest to Cartagena, offering a forum for discussion through which they can be informed of current political and social issues that concern the interests of the municipality and the region.
