On the occasion of the extraordinary plenary session, the purple formation criticizes the breaches of the Regional and Local Government in the High Speed ​​Cartagena Society, at the same time that defends the original proposal of the AVE arrival, as had been agreed by the whole Corporation in accordance with the neighbors.

Also, the municipal group requests additional information from the Government, criticizes the lack of transparency and, based on reports from the European Court of Auditors, makes clear the priorities of rail transport in the municipality and the Region, which obviously does not go through the large and expensive works of arrival at any price of High Speed.

Podemos has reiterated its support for the neighborhood proposal for the arrival of the AVE to Cartagena, and its strong opposition to the deception of the Local and Regional Government perpetrated in the last session of the High Speed ​​Cartagena Board of Directors: a deception that betrays not only the representatives of the citizenship, but violates the own Plenary agreement that had reached the entire Corporation in an institutional declaration of June last year.

The purple formation, through Pilar Marcos, has returned to remember that the proposal of the local and regional governments involves the departure of neighborhoods and towns, not eliminating the level steps or the FEVE pathways (there are no express commitments in this regard), nor divert the train of dangerous goods that passes through Alumbres, or connect with the ZAL of Los Camachos ... Also, Marcos has emphasized that the planned infrastructure is not what the whole of the town of Cartagena needs, since it does not mention intermodality, the problem of the radioactivity of El Hondón is left in the air and all this with the addition of the comparative offense in economic matters: "All Cartagena will have to pay 25% of the works that are made in the RAF, burial and decontamination" , the mayor of the purple formation has concluded.

Marcos, candidate of Podemos to the Mayor, has transferred to the Government many questions that have remained unanswered: If the draft of the first phase of the burial is already drawn up;

when they will start the work;

how and when the authorizations will be requested to the CSN to act in the lands of El Hondón;

if there is evidence that the CSN will give authorization to undertake the burial works of the AVE;

and, finally, what costs the decontamination works will have, how long they will last and who will assume them.

Finally, from Podemos have once again explained that the priority for Cartagena should not be the AVE but the cheapest and safest way to have the railway infrastructures that ordinary people need: modernization of the entire Region's network, electrification, betting for medium and long distance, commuter, intermodality, and guarantee all the security and urbanistic measures demanded by neighbors ...

Marcos concluded by saying that: "The AVE only gets to enrich a couple of powerful families.

The European Court of Auditors itself has informed that these large works do not agree, since they are very expensive, inefficient, with high environmental and social costs, end up being underutilized and are a nest of corruption for politicians and businessmen friends of power ... "
