On the occasion of the celebrations of its 50th anniversary, the IES Isaac Peral organizes this Tuesday, April 23, Book Day, the 1st edition of the literature contest 'Mª Jesús Huertas to Education for Coexistence'.
The departments of Philosophy, Spanish Language and Literature and the team of IES Isaac Peral of Cartagena decided to create this award on September 24, 2018. With it, the culture of peace, tolerance, dialogue, solidarity is honored and kept alive. and respect for human rights, that the professor of Philosophy Mª Jesús Huertas López left in the entire educational community, as she passed through this institute.
The prize has two modalities: a story for ESO students and a philosophical dissertation for high school students, as well as financing the execution of a solidarity project through donations.
The award ceremony to the winners will begin at 12 noon with the assistance of the Councilor for Education, Mercedes García, and with the musical performance of students from the center.
