The mayor of Cartagena, Ana Belén Castejón, has decreed the state of emergency in the municipality of Cartagena, which involves locating and alerting local police personnel and the Fire Fighting, Salvage and Civil Protection Service to be prepared for Act before the possibility of very intense rainfall in the coming hours.
The Spanish Meteorological Agency (AEMET) has issued this morning an orange warning for rains in the Campo de Cartagena and Mazarrón that could arrive in the next hours at 60 liters per square meter and punctually at 100.
The announcement announces that these precipitations could originate in an accumulated time of 18 hours, from four in the afternoon of today Friday to three in the afternoon of tomorrow Saturday.

If you are at home, clean the roof, downspouts, drains, etc., from any accumulation of leaves, dirt, etc.
Remove anything that can be dragged from the outside of the house.
Do not park in dry riverbeds, or on the banks of rivers.
Avoid driving on roads near ravines or crossing bridges through which the water flows, before a possible flood.
It is also recommended to follow the evolution of this notice through social networks and official websites and media, especially radio stations.
