The City of Cartagena has hosted the launch of the appointment, to celebrate this Holy Wednesday and being one more year trial for a good part of our best athletes
They just separated us and a few hours for one of the most special competitions of the season in our Region.
Precisely this Tuesday has taken place the presentation of the XXXIII Athletics Trophy Ciudad de Cartagena, 35th Anniversary Athletics Club Elcano, in tribute to the founding club, base and subsidiary of the UCAM Athletics Cartagena, which will take place this Holy Wednesday.
The City Council of Cartagena has welcomed the coming-out, with the assistance, among others, of the Councilor for Sports of the port city, Manuel Mora, as well as the General Director of Sports of the Region of Murcia, Alonso Gómez López;
Alfredo Castilla, president of the Athletics Club Elcano, and the president of the UCAM Cartagena Juan Alfonso García.
The athletics track of Cartagena will be witness of the competition, welcoming a good part of our best athletes and many others coming from outside the regional limits, starting at 4:45 pm, being scheduled at 6:55 pm.
the last appointment and gathering participants from the Sub10 to absolute category.
A meeting organized by the UCAM Athletics Cartagena, Elcano Athletics Club, with the support of the Athletics Federation of the Region of Murcia and the collaboration of the City of Cartagena, the General Directorate of Sports of the Region of Murcia and the Campus of Cartagena of the UCAM, through its Sports Service.
There will be medals for the first three finishers of each event, as well as a prize of 50 euros for the winner of each absolute event, both in men and women, being controlled by the Judges Committee of the FAMU and electronic timekeeping (the tests marked with an asterisk in the schedule will be controlled by sports monitors, so the brands will not be valid for ranking purposes).
It should also be noted that to this economic prize is added the prize of 100 euros for the best absolute brand, both male and female, by IAAF table.
