The Holy Week of Cartagena continues on Tuesday April 16 with an unmissable event of this period of the year, notable for its tradition and symbolism.
Transfers of the thrones of Santiago Apóstol, San Juan Evangelista and San Pedro Apóstol will take place and the subsequent meeting of the three processions will take place.
From 8:50 p.m., San Juan Evangelista and Santiago Apóstol will start their procession, from the Artillery Park and the Muralla del Mar respectively.
For its part, the throne of San Pedro Apóstol will leave at 9:00 pm from inside the Military Arsenal.
The three departures will have unique military acts of farewell, where the saints will receive traditional military honors.
Accompanied by soldiers, the thrones on the shoulders of portapasos will cross the streets and squares of the center of Cartagena until arriving at the Plaza de San Sebastián.
Once there, they will advance to the Church of Santa María de Gracia, where they will wait until the exit of the Magna California procession on Holy Wednesday.
