The Cartagena Ephesé Holy Week Tournament, which will take place this Saturday, March 20, in the sports city Gómez Meseguer of the Cabezo Beaza polygon, celebrates its tenth anniversary.

It is organized by the Department of Sports of the City of Cartagena, in collaboration with the Ministry of Sports, the Football Federation of the Region of Murcia and the Cartagena Ephesé Club.

The presentation of this tenth edition was attended by the Councilor for Sports, Manuel Mora, the general director of Sports of the Region of Murcia, Alonso Gómez, the vice president of the Cartagena Ephesé Club, Nicolás López Cuadrado, and the sports director of the club, Leo Gómez.

This activity, framed within the celebrations of the centenary of the Cartagena Football Club, will start at 9 am and end at 6:30 pm with the awards ceremony and will gather 360 players spread over 12 benjamin teams, 8 prebenjamines and 6 in category lollipops of Elche CF, Real Murcia CF, Cartagena FC, Villareal CF, Kelme CF.

It is being negotiated with Betis Balompié, Sevilla CF and UD Almería.

The Councilor for Sports, Manuel Mora, said that "Cartagena is a city with quarry and is demonstrated in this tournament in which participating teams category Chupetas, Benjamins and Prebenjamines of the Region of Murcia and other Autonomous Communities."

The general director of Sports of the Region of Murcia, Alonso Gómez, has indicated that this tournament "is fundamental for the youngest ones because it helps them to grow around a healthy life".

This trophy, in addition, has an educational and supportive character, since all the participants will contribute non-perishable food that will be delivered to Cáritas.

In addition to the collection of food, according to the sports director of the Cartagena Ephesé Club, Nicolás López, other activities will be carried out such as "the graffiti contest awards ceremony, a great tasting of paella, pintacaras, zumba, musical performances, biker concentration and mattresses will be installed. "
