On Thursday, April 11, the signing of the agreement of working conditions of the officials and the agreement of the labor personnel of the City of Cartagena took place in the Town Hall.
The event was attended by the mayor of Cartagena, Ana Belén Castejón, the mayor of the area of ​​Public Function, Finance and Quality of Life, Manuel Mora, the general director of Public Employment of the City of Cartagena, José Serrano, and representatives unions of the municipal employees (UGT, CCOO, SIME and CESIF).
The agreements reached have been negotiated between both parties to replace the previous ones that had expired in 2015. The new agreements will be valid for four years, from January 1, 2019 to December 31, 2022.
Among the measures of the agreements, the mayor of Cartagena, Ana Belén Castejón, stressed that the conditions of family life will be improved, with special emphasis on "municipal officials, over 60 years, who may have a reduction in the workday".
The mayor of the area of ​​Public Function Finance and Quality of Life, Manuel Mora, has indicated that "this document regulates those issues related to employment security, consolidation, stabilization and civil servant work, in addition, helps to advance the administrative career on a horizontal level. "
Other measures included in the agreements are: increase the validity of summer time by one month;
recalculate early retirement benefits for payment by quarters and increase aid for those aged 63 and 64;
make the way to request vacations more flexible;
prioritize internal promotion before new hires;
second activity for new profiles that require it;
recognition of public attention for everyone who makes it and a regulation for teleworking.
The General Director of Public Employment of the City of Cartagena, José Serrano, has concluded that "there is unanimity since all trade union organizations are identified because above all this could not have been possible without the effort and participation of all."
