The works of the four-star hotel that is being built in Los Urrutias continue at a good pace.
This morning, the mayor Ana Belén Castejón, visited the establishment together with the neighbors of the area, at the request of the promoter company and the hotel chain that will be responsible for its management.
Up to now, close to 70% of the planned infrastructures have been carried out and those responsible for the establishment have assured that next July they will be ready to receive their first customers.
The mayor has stressed the importance of developing projects like this one for the deseasonalization of this area of ​​the Mar Menor.
"It is mainly focused on the tourism of low surface water sports so it will serve to attract future investors and generate life in Los Urrutias, without causing damage to our salt lake," he said.
For the construction of the hotel, the company has made an investment that exceeds 15 million euros.
The establishment will have 150 rooms, with capacity for 150 people and will generate around a hundred direct jobs.
