On the occasion of its 40th anniversary, the IES Juan Sebastián Elcano organized this past Thursday, April 4, a charity concert at the El Batel Auditorium and Conference Center, which was in charge of the Tercio de Levante, the Symphonic Band of the Higher Conservatory of Music Manuel Massotti with the choirs of Elcano and Juvenis Música.
More than 700 attendees filled the main hall of the auditorium, raising almost 4000 euros that will go to charity associations Pablo Ugarte Association (APU) against childhood cancer, ASIDO and Autism We Are All.
In addition, a zero row was made available to those interested in collaborating.
The center wanted to open the anniversary celebrations to the public and, this is why the City Council wanted to cede El Batel to host this solidary concert, coinciding also with the 5th centenary of the first round of the world of Magallanes Elcano and, which was attended by the Councilor of the Area of ​​Public Function and Sports, Manuel Mora.
For the first time, El Tercio de Levante performed with the Symphonic Band of the Conservatory bringing together more than 130 musicians on stage led by Jaime Enguídanos in the first part of the concert, followed by the performances of the choir of IES Elcano and Juvenis Música de Cartagena arriving to act 400 musicians in total.
