The project "SOI Tourism: a commitment to Accessible and Solidarity Tourism in Cartagena", has been one of the 37 finalist projects at a national level, among a total of 4,131 candidate projects, which were subsidized last year by Fundación Obra Social La Caixa.
The award was collected yesterday in Madrid by David Rivera Luzón, director of the SOI Foundation, at an event in which María Luisa Carcedo Roces, minister of Health, Consumption and Social Welfare, was also present.
This is the second time that the SOI Foundation has received a mention of this type, since it was also a finalist for the 2016 social innovation awards, for the project of the Hotel Network with Cognitive Accessibility.
With SOI Turismo, the foundation, with which the City of Cartagena collaborates, continues an initiative with great potential, closely linked to the purpose of leisure, which also takes advantage of this circumstance to generate economic resources.
A brilliant idea, and that's how it has been recognized, since it starts from the reality of leisure itself.
