The civic center of Pozo Estrecho will host next April 27th the end of the IV Literary Contest to which more than a hundred stories have been presented coming from both the region and the rest of the country, Peru, Cuba, Portugal and even the Netherlands .
This Literary Contest Villa de Pozo Estrecho was born from the initiative of the Neighborhood Association of Pozo Estrecho with the support of the Department of Culture of the City of Cartagena and has served to encourage writing and reading in municipalities in the region in all ages, since it has three categories: Children, youth and adult, who have been able to present their works of poetry, story and stories.
After presenting the bases and all interested parties will send their stories and poetry until March 19, the texts are already being worked by the jury that will meet after Easter to choose the winners.
It is composed of five members, among which is the Councilor for Culture, David Martinez, the president of the Neighbors Association of Pozo Estrecho, Sonia Montoya, and Maria Luisa Carrión, writer and poet, present this Thursday April 4 in the presentation of the final that took place in the press room of the Consistorial Palace.
"Being part of the jury has helped me to see how each year the event has been growing and has come to know outside the municipality and outside Spain," says the council.
In this edition, the image of the poster is a work by the galileo artist Javier Lorente, recently exhibited in one of the exhibitions in the Consistorial Palace, faithful collaborator of the Association of Neighbors.
The end of day 27 will be held at 20.30 in the Civic Center, the day that the Pozo Estrecho Neighbors Association has used to celebrate the Book Day and has organized activities in the Plaza Mayor of Pozo Estrecho which will be attended by both same cartageneras authors that, in the afternoon, will be in the delivery of prizes of the contest, and that they will expose their stories and they will do readings with the smallest, as well as the workshop 'Create your story'.
