Twenty-two participants with entrepreneurial initiatives have participated in the Entrepreneur Generation program of the Agency for Local Development and Employment (ADLE) for the Creation of Companies.
The mayor of Cartagena, Ana Belén Castejón and the Councilor for Economic Strategy, Carmen Martín del Amor, were in charge of delivering the diplomas to the participants in the first two editions on Thursday, April 4, 2019 at the Town Hall.
The mayor of Cartagena, Ana Belén Castejón, praised the participants for their "attitude" and for "being brave".
He also said that "the visibility of the ADLE has tripled" in recent years.
The first mayor has ensured that the City of Cartagena will always be available to any entrepreneur.
The graduates of the Second Edition of Entrepreneurial Generation are: José Alberto Olmos Garre, Luis Miguel Chavarrías Baines, Vanessa Medina Daza, Elena Casas Badolato, Maijolet Rojas Zapata, Alejandra Fernández Muñoz, María del Mar Isaac López, Leonilda Orrego Viera, María del Carmen Sánchez Galián, Mónica Martín Padrón, María Ángeles Guzmán Martín, Laura Gabriela Guzmán Martín and Inmaculada Carreras Carrillo.
Business projects have been developed on: hairdressing, real estate, confectionery, personalized gifts, sports shoes for children, disinfectant products, Latin fast food, portable awning for vehicles or care intermediation for the elderly.
Entrepreneurial Generation helps these entrepreneurs to start their projects.
Entrepreneurs receive a complete training in business management and business and technological skills.
In particular, they are taught to test their business idea with the CANVAS model and participate in workshops on commercial management, digital marketing, legal, tax and labor counseling, or social networks such as linkedin and new technologies applicable to business management.
With this training, which is completed with individualized tutorials by the technicians of the Department of Entrepreneurship and Local Development of the ADLE and networking days, the entrepreneurs are prepared to successfully face the first steps of their business.
The first edition took place from November 13 to December 12, 2018, with ten participants.
In the second edition, developed from February 18 to April 3, 2019, thirteen entrepreneurs are launching ten business projects.
Some of the ideas that are going to develop are a service company that offers everything from personalized gifts to event management, a parasol for vehicles, a clothing brand or a real estate and tourism services company.
The Entrepreneurial Generation Program of the Agency for Local Development and Employment (ADLE) will continue this year with new calls, as it significantly favors the creation of a business network that has an impact on the business dynamism of Cartagena.
