Pupils of 5th grade of San Fulgencio School (Pozo Estrecho) lived on Tuesday April 2 a day of athletics in their own school with managers, monitors and athletes Elcano Athletics Club through the ADE Program of the Department of Sports of the City from Cartagena.
The first part of the day was held in the classroom, where the students had a meeting with the leaders and monitors Alfredo Castilla, Tońi López, along with the athletes Álvaro Alcaraz and Paloma Esteban, having an approach, first with videos and images about the sport of athletics, and also about the experiences lived by the athletes and in relation to how they prepare and feed.
The practical part was then carried out on the sports court, where the students had the opportunity to show their skills and physical aptitude in the tests adapted to the athletics of races, jumps and throws within the format "Playing athletics" intended precisely to have a approach to own sport.
The ADE program is organized by the Department of Sports of the City of Cartagena and the Official College of Graduates in Physical Education and Sports of the Autonomous Community.
