On Thursday, April 11, the IV edition of the Solidarity Race of the CEIP San Ginés de la Jara will be held.
The test will start at the El Llano del Beal football field.
This year, the collection of this test will go to the association AFACMUR family of children with cancer in the Region of Murcia.
This activity has the collaboration of the Department of Education, Tourism and Sports of the City of Cartagena.
In the press conference to present the race were the Councilor for Education of Cartagena, Mercedes García, the representative of the association AFACMUR, Isabel García, and the director of the CEIP San Ginés de la Jara, José David Guillén.

The representative of the Association of Relatives of Children with Cancer of the Region of Murcia (AFACMUR), Isabel García Cánovas, wanted to thank the support of the City of Cartagena, CEIP San Ginés de la Jara and all those who collaborate in the Race Solidarity
In addition, he wanted to highlight the work carried out by members of AFACMUR.
Isabel García has a daughter with cancer and assures that they have been involved a lot with her, both at a psychological level and in resources.
From nine in the morning, those interested in participating in the race will be able to acquire their race number on April 11 for 2 euros on the El Llano del Beal soccer field.
The amount collected will go to AFACMUR to help children with cancer.
With the number, participants can enter the drawing of a raffle, in which draw sausages, hotel nights or facial cream among other products.
This year marks the fourth edition of a test organized by the CEIP San Ginés de la Jara.
Its director, José David Guillén, ensures that this test has an educational and supportive character.
"Children already know why they do it, what is the reason.
