The City of Cartagena today signed the contracts and delivered the keys to eight Municipal Heritage properties that were awarded to rent to as many families with limited resources.
In addition to the families, in the act was the mayor, Ana Belén Castejón, next to the councilor of Social Services, Mercedes García, representatives of the Platform of Affected by the Mortgage and technicians of the Office of Housing of the Department of Social Services .
The City Council of Cartagena rehabilitated the houses and established an ordinance for its adjudication among the 201 applicants, through a transparent and objective process, in which criteria of scale were used.
The Department of Social Services will maintain from now on a permanent contact that will pay a social rent for their homes.
