In Cartagena, on Holy Thursday, it has always been a very important day since at noon, thousands of Cartagena people who were living or working outside the city returned on this occasion to meet with family and friends around the processions of the Holy Week.
This same day, since 1984, an act was held in the city in Homage to the Absent Cartageneros where they were recognized for bringing Cartagena to other cities in Spain or outside of it where they worked or resided.
After 7 years of absence, the traditional Homage to the Absent Cartagena, which ended in 2012 due to health problems of the president of the Association of Friends of San Juan, returns this year, at 12:30 pm, April 18, on Thursday Holy.
This event is organized by the Association of Friends of Missing Cartagena and in which the City of Cartagena collaborates.
The presentation of the event was made by the Councilor for Culture, David Martínez, the president of the Association of Friends of the Missing Cartagenero, Domingo Bastida, and the vice president of the association, Janine Alcaraz.

Cartageneros from Tarragona, Madrid, Barcelona and other cities will attend the Royal Economic Society of Friends of the Country to recognize and pay homage to them.
The president of the Association of Friends of the Missing Cartagenero, an association founded today, Domingo Bastida, has indicated that on Holy Thursday, at noon, in this act "of recuentro of friendships, emotions and sensations" will be delivered a gift and a magazine about Cartagena and the Cartagena missing the assistants.
