Holy Week is an important event in Cartagena, and a good time to carry out various activities in the city's museums, as well as to make known our rich Cultural Heritage.
The start of the activities will be Friday of Dolores, on April 12, with a Open House at the Roman Theater in Cartagena.
Throughout the day, visitors can enjoy their museum tour that culminates with the unexpected sight of the monument.
On the occasion of Holy Week, the Roman Theater extends its visiting hours from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, and also opening days.
Thus, it will open its doors on Holy Monday and Easter Monday, from 10 am to 6 pm, and the other days, from Tuesday to Sunday, will be open from 10 am to 8 pm.
You can also visit the temporary exhibitions of the Museum.
Victoria Chezner's exhibition 'Tu presencia' where the artist delves into the landscape, which is the hallmark of identity and its target in artistic research.
As well as the photographic exhibition 'Mirada a la Resurrección'.
The Roman Theater Museum has programmed several activities with Cartagena Port of Cultures that will take place during Holy Week:
This way you can make a special guided tour Holy Week 'Temples: between the pagan and the divine'.
A route that will start at the Roman Theater Museum where the splendor of the Roman city of Carthago Nova will be known with the construction of the magnificent Theater dedicated to the imperial family, at the exit of the monument, the emblematic corner of Callejón de la Soledad will be covered .
The route will continue with the visit to the interior of the Church of Santa María de Gracia where you will know first hand the preparations of the thrones that will parade in Easter Cartagena, which has the declaration of International Tourist Interest, and will end in the Forum Neighborhood Roman, visiting the hot springs and the Temple dedicated to Isis and god Serapis.

Also for families and travelers the theatrical route 'Romans for the world: destination Carthago Nova' has been programmed.
A novel dramatized Roman route full of winks and humor capsules where we will visit the most important sites knowing different Roman characters that await us in the Roman Theater, the Forum Neighborhood and Casa de la Fortuna, to tell us what life is like in Carthago Nova .

You can also make a guided tour of Stories with flavor with the route 'Cartagena Tres Culturas'.
This route will reveal medieval history and the confluence of the three cultures, Christian, Jewish and Muslim.
It will start at the Panoramic Elevator, arriving at the Castillo de la Concepción, from where the whole city can be seen.
The visit will continue along the Church of Santa María la Mayor until you reach the Museum of the Roman Theater.
The route ends with the tasting of a typical tapa of Jewish or Muslim cuisine.

The guided route 'Treasures of Rome: the Muses of Carthago Nova'.
An exclusive Roman guided route where the Roman treasures of the city will be explained, including the three pictorial jewels that appeared in the excavations of the Forum Quarter.
On the route we will contemplate sculpture, painting and mosaic arts that inspired the muses to Roman artists.
The route begins at the Museum of the Theater, will continue through the Palace Hall and Roman Forum.
