The Polytechnic University of Cartagena held on Tuesday at its Faculty of Business Sciences UPCT-ENAE 2019 Employment Forum, which involved forty companies that have contacted students and recent graduates in search of employment opportunities.
This edition has also premiered a virtual space, hosted on the EMFOCA website, from which you can chat with business leaders until April 5. The UPCT received the last course, through its Information and Employment Guidance Center (COIE), 1,138 internship offers for their students, who performed 736.
There were also 165 job offers, generating 72 contracts, according to the data provided by the rector, Alejandro Díaz, during the inauguration of the Employment Forum. The Polytechnic of Cartagena has 658 active agreements with companies, of which around 400 were signed or renewed last year.
So far this year, 195 agreements have been activated and 419 practices have been carried out. The UPCT also channels job opportunities through its Chair Network, "a very effective tool to increase the employment of our students.
They are facilitated by the access and training of transversal and specific competences that differentiate them from the rest of the students ", explains the vice-rector of Innovation and Business, Alejandro Pérez.During the forum technical presentations of companies, round tables and training workshops have been developed.
The students and graduates of the University have also been able to leave their CV to meet the Human Resources managers of the companies and improve their knowledge of the market
