On Saturday March 30, the Plaza del Icue hosted a concentration of the Association of Endometriosis Affected of the Region of Murcia to report on this disease.
There were informative tables to make known that it occurs when the tissue of the uterus, the endometrium, grows and folds outside it.
In this event the Councilman of Equality of Cartagena, David Martinez was present.
The attending public received information on endometriosis and was able to make voluntary donations to the Association of Affected by Endometriosis of the Region of Murcia (ADAEC).
In addition, attendees received balloons and were able to enjoy the live music of the singer from Rio Viré.
This act has been one of the many that have been celebrated throughout Spain to commemorate the World Day of Endometriosis, which was on March 14.
Endometriosis is a chronic disease that affects 1 in 10 women, a total of 176 million affected in the world.
In Spain, it suffers 2 million women, while in the Region of Murcia, there are 35 thousand women affected.
