The Agency for Local Development and Employment of Cartagena has joined the Network of Local Development Entities.
This has been approved by the General Assembly of the Network of Entities for Local Development, which was held in Barcelona on March 28 and 29.
Some 50 professionals and local development policy makers from more than 20 cities and regions of Spain participated in this meeting.
The ADLE has joined the Network of Local Development Entities together with the Economic Development Agency of the Metropolitan Area of ​​Barcelona and Nasuvinsa (public company of the Government of Navarre).
Thus, there are already 25 participants that make up this network.
The City Council of Castellón and Elche have participated as entities invited to the Assembly.
From REDEL we want to promote that other cities and councils are part of the network to enrich even more the exchange of experiences and the weight of it.
On the 28th, a day was celebrated in which the participating cities have had the opportunity to know the model of intervention in local development of active Barcelona that has been and continues to be a benchmark at the international level in local development, as well as the study international comparison on 7 cities presented by Oriol Homs.
That same afternoon a guided tour of Barrio 22 @ was held.
Among the points discussed at the meeting, the progress of the three currently working groups on cultural and creative industries, social economy and trade has been reported.
Likewise, it has been proposed to create a new group on depopulation and aging.
A space has also been reserved for reflecting on innovation in local development policies, especially in this last legislature and for the new period.
The Institute of Metropolitan Regional Studies has presented the preliminary results of the study they are carrying out.
