Antonio Manuel Martínez González, professor of the area of ​​Signal Theory and Communications of the UPCT, has taken office as president of the Technical Teaching Committee of the ANECA Faculty Assessment Program, in charge of accrediting teachers in the Engineering and Architecture in Spanish public and private universities.
The director of ANECA, José Arnaez, appointed last March 14 the professor of the Polytechnic of Cartagena as head of one of the five committees that has the National Agency for Quality Assessment and Accreditation and that are distributed by branch of knowledge .
Antonio Martínez had previously participated in the panel of experts of the Technical Teaching Committee, which will preside over the next four years.
"We are going to review the accreditation criteria of the teaching staff, in order to adapt the profile of the candidates to the university reality", advances the teacher.
"They have already improved a lot, rewarding specialization," he says, "the challenge now is to value the merits more in terms of quality and not just in quantity," he adds.
