In February of last year, the Port Authority and the Murcia Region Fairtrade Factory convened a contest of ideas that were presented almost twenty urban designers and architects.

The five projects

Chirrete Proyect, a project for the implantation of a brand that connects Santa Lucía with the cultural and tourist routes of Cartagena through the celebration of a festival with multicultural contents (Chirrete_Market, Chirrete_Fest, Chirrete_Tours).

Vitreous Project, an integral proposal whose objective is to recover, value and disseminate the cultural heritage (material and immaterial) of the neighborhood of Santa Lucia, (cycle of conferences, photographic workshop, artisan workshops, photographic exhibition and heritage information points) .

Run, a project for environmental regeneration in the axis of the ravine, between the Jorquera Walk to the Museum of Glass to convert the flanks of the walk in green routes with the ultimate goal of constituting a Botanical Garden integrated into the urban space with the participation of the neighbors.

The neighborhood between seams, urban rehabilitation interventions after the detection of the most degraded points of the neighborhood (reused drums for seats or flowerpots, information boards, rope cover, lighting, solar panel and vegetation).

And Frascolor, a mural painting on the façades of the Museum of Glass to enhance the relevance of this property and its value.
