The Councilor for Municipal Services, Juan Pedro Torralba, together with technicians from the Department of Infrastructures, has signed this morning the reception of the consolidation works of the Monte de las Casillas, in which a total of 124,181.09 euros have been invested.
The works consisted in the necessary stabilization of the slope located in part of the western slope of the Monte de las Casillas of El Portús de Cartagena, with the aim of avoiding the possible landslides that could affect the existing houses at the foot of the hillside.
It is a work highly demanded by the residents of the area and was one of those selected in the Participatory Budgeting project.
With the completion of the work, in addition to ensuring the safety of nearby homes, residents and tourists can enjoy the beach of El Portus during this Holy Week.
