With the collaboration of FuelsEurope, fifty residents of our area have visited the Repsol visit center in Cartagena and have made an internal tour of the refinery.

So far this year more than 1,300 people have participated in the guided tour that the company offers in its facilities to show their activity.

The Repsol visit center in Cartagena, has joined the initiative of the European Commission, with the collaboration of FuelsEurope, to open its doors and publicize the activity that the company performs in its facilities in the Valley of Escombreras.

In this second day of open doors, a group of businesswomen from the city participated, as well as students of the Master of Environmental Engineering at the Polytechnic University of Cartagena and other citizens with an interest in the refining industry.

During the visit, the fifty or so attendees have discovered how the refining process is developed and the resulting products obtained in the Cartagena refinery, ranging from fuels to other petroleum products used for the manufacture of everyday products. as footwear, sanitary material or mobile devices.

The open day has also served for the participants have had an approach to the vision of the European refining industry to 2050 developed by FuelsEurope.

The objective is to contribute to the continuous reduction of CO2 emissions by offering low carbon fuels and other products that society needs.
