The Local Government Board met this morning under the presidency of the mayor, Ana Belén Castejón, has approved the bases and calls for granting grants amounting to 1.3 million euros and which may attend various social, educational, youth groups and neighbors.
The calls are now processed, with the budget items extended, in order to advance the process of processing and allow its granting by mid-year.
The most bulky package of subsidies was that from the social area, amounting to 845,000 euros.
Thus, the Board has approved the bases and call for competitive competition of the following grants:
490,000 euros for social action institutions
65,000 for associations and clubs for the elderly.
40,000 for activities in neighborhoods of social prevention.
30,000 for community promotion.
135,000 for universal accessibility
85,000 for international cooperation.
The Board has also approved a direct subsidy of 40,000 euros to the Federation of Associations of Neighbors, Consumers and Users of Cartagena and District "Fernando Garrido" (FAVCAC).
It has also approved the bases and the call for the concession through a procedure of competitive competition of 213,500 euros to neighborhood associations for the promotion of citizen participation and associationism, as well as for maintenance and investment in social premises.
They have also approved the regulatory bases and the call for subsidies to finance support costs of bands, music associations of the municipality of Cartagena during 2019, amounting to 30,000 euros.
Another call for subsidies approved has been addressed to neighborhood associations and officially constituted festival commissions, in order to organize and carry out annually the most representative festivals or popular celebrations in different neighborhoods and urban centers of the councils of the municipality of Cartagena, by the procedure of competitive public competition, for which 100,000 euros will be allocated.
The Governing Board has approved other bases and call for grants to youth groups for the amount of 46,000 euros.
In the educational field, grants have been approved for centers supported by public funds of Early Childhood and Primary Education of Cartagena for the realization of Educational Projects by the competitive concurrency procedure, for which 10,000 euros and 9,000 euros will be allocated for secondary education institutes. Secondary Education (IES), Integrated Vocational Training Centers (CIFP), Official School of Languages ​​(EOI), Professional Conservatory of Music (CPM), and District Center for Adult Education (CEPA) of the Municipality of Cartagena, for the realization of unique educational actions by the competitive concurrency procedure.
