The interest in the Polytechnic University of Cartagena (UPCT) multiplies.
Almost 800 people have registered for the Open House Day that is held tomorrow, Saturday.
More than 300 pre-university students and their companions, coming from some thirty municipalities of the Region and the provinces of Albacete and Alicante have signed up to learn about the Polytechnic studies and the services provided to the students.
The novelty of this year, the realization of free technology workshops so that families can enjoy together science and technology, in which almost 300 people will participate.
Among the most demanded are 3D printing, virtual reality, racing motorcycle or Biomedical Engineering.
The UPCT will show at a technology fair, located in the School of Industrial Engineering, in the former Hospital de Marina, with about thirty stands its different teaching centers, services, competition teams, student associations and research projects such as the vehicle autonomous.
Those registered can visit the different centers and general facilities of the UPCT.
The fair will also feature a charity space, with coffee for the benefit of AFAL (Association of Relatives and Sick of Alzheimer's and other degenerative pathologies of Cartagena and Comarca).
Tourist visit
After knowing all the training and services offered by the UPCT, attendees of this UPCT 2019 Open Door Conference will be able to discover the three-year city in two tourist routes organized by the company Mediterranean Unique Experience.
Those registered who are interested in this activity can choose between a boat trip on the bay or a cultural tour through the old town of Cartagena.
Both routes include a tasting of tapas and typical dishes of the area, and you can reserve a place in them throughout the morning and until the moment of its start.
In addition, the School of Architecture and Building extends the exhibition of altarpieces so that visitors can see it on the ground floor of the School of Business Sciences.
People who come to this exhibition will also have the opportunity to discover the details of the rehabilitation of the historic building that houses the UPCT School of Business through a tour of its facilities led by José Manuel Chacón, architect in charge of its rehabilitation.
The Open Day will begin at 10:00 am and end at noon.
