This afternoon, the Plenary Session of the City Council, at the proposal of the MC Cartagena spokesman, José López, has unanimously agreed to adhere, through an institutional declaration, to the claims and demands of the Bar Association of Cartagena, who through a manifesto have reminded the Ministry of Justice of their continued defaults to the Office shift.
The text, also, has deepened the need to claim a dignification of the working conditions of the service providers.
More concretely, the manifesto reflects "the condemnation and rejection of the situation of non-payment in the installments of the compensation accrued by the proceedings in favor of beneficiaries of Free Justice", demanding, at the same time, "the immediate payment of the unpaid monthly installments and the firm commitment to pay punctually, from now on, the monthly payments that are justified by these actions ".
Likewise, the lawyers, together with the municipal Plenary, have demanded "the urgent and indispensable elevation of the scales by means of the equalization of the remunerations for performances of the shift of office throughout the national territory".
Finally, they have claimed the recognition of the "dignity of the professionals who attend the shift of office", reiterating also the commitment that the Cartagena lawyer maintains with the citizenship regarding the "free legal assistance".
Convocation of the Bureau of Justice
The claim of Cartagena lawyers coincides in time with the Cartagena demand expressed today in the plenary session in which MC has urged the Executive of Castejón to urgently convene the Local Board of Justice in order to address issues such as postponement, one more year, of a new civil court in Cartagena, which comes to join the long wait for the Commercial Court or the Juvenile Court.
In this text, it has been recalled that lawyers enrolled in the legal system continue without charging the matters under their charge since November 2018.
