Citizens proposes that the Plenary of Cartagena tomorrow make two recesses so that the Municipal Corporation can attend the rally, in front of the Roman Amphitheater of Cartagena, which has called the Bar Association to claim the dignity of the office shift (1:30 p.m. to the Roman Amphitheater) and to attend the concentration of the Platform of Cartagena and Comarca Amianto Zero in front of the Regional Assembly at 5:00 p.m. to demand the removal of asbestos from educational centers, a prioritized calendar for the Plan for the Elimination of Fibrocement in the Region of Murcia, and the increase in the budget allocated.

For Cs spokesperson, Manuel Padín, "both appointments are important and our duty as public officials is to be with the civil society of Cartagena in its just demands, it would be to make two small parentheses during the development of the plenary session and support these just acts of protest. "

We demand the recess, "but not precisely to make palms to a President of the Government who has betrayed Spain by agreeing with separatism and populism, but to be next to two of the main social demands of Cartagena and its region," says the spokesperson for Cs.

On the withdrawal of asbestos, the Liberal spokesman recalled that his group in the Assembly has registered an initiative in which he has requested the approval of a Regional Plan for the withdrawal and progressive rehabilitation of asbestos roofs in educational centers of the Region of Murcia, which must be completed before August 31, 2024, "four years before the date foreseen by the Ministry, we believe that, with political will and an appropriate strategy, the deadlines can be significantly shortened".

The Cs Cartagena spokesman will make this request at the Board of Spokespersons that will take place at 8:00 pm today in the Council Chamber of the Consistorial Palace, with the aim of ordering the Ordinary Plenary tomorrow.
