This past Saturday March 24 was held the II Trail of Alumbres organized by the Sport Club Alumbres Sport with the collaboration of the Department of Sports of the City of Cartagena that culminated in the victory of the Unionense José Carlos 'Jaro' Caparrós and Isabel Pelegrín.

The Councilor for Sports, Manuel Mora, did not want to miss this event and was in charge of giving the start at 9 am at the Polideportivo de Alumbres.

It counted with the participation of more than 250 runners who crossed the 18 km that made up the test with a positive slope of 700 meters and that also served as preparation for many of them of the next Route of the Fortresses to be held on April 6.

'Jaro' Caparrós, local police and ex-football player, managed to reach the finish line in a time of 1 hour, 11 minutes and 1 second along with José Antonio Agüera, just 11 seconds later.

For its part, in the women's event, Isabel Pelegrín managed to perform the test in 1 hour, 27 minutes and 32 seconds, thus achieving the victory in mixed pairs that was released this year as a novelty with Francisco Yedra.
