The president of the Community, Fernando López Miras, visited today the facilities of the Day Center of the Association for the Integral Attention to People with Down Syndrome, Asido Cartagena, on the occasion of the World Day of People with Down Syndrome, which celebrates nationally under the slogan 'The luck of having you'.
"Any day is good but today is a great day to eliminate prejudices, stereotypes and to say loud and clear that we are very lucky to have people like the users of this Asido center in Cartagena," said López Miras, who highlighted the work that they carry out in this association, which commemorates this day with the slogan '25 years of fulfilling dreams', "contributing to this being the best land in the world".
The president wanted to know first-hand some of the activities carried out through its Day Center, its Child Development Center and Early Care and rotational housing, and stressed that "the people who belong to this group are dedicated to each day to eliminate barriers, fighting every day and contributing to that in this region we are all free and equal, "said López Miras.
