The Consistorial Palace of Cartagena has hosted the Plenary Session of the Economic and Social Council of the Region of Murcia, after accepting this body the invitation of the City of Cartagena.
The CES celebrates its meetings outside the regional capital on the occasion of its 25th anniversary.
In the plenary session, a favorable opinion has been issued for universal and free early comprehensive care.
This session also approved the Activities Report for 2018. In addition, the economic and social agents of the city have presented their requests on Cartagena to the members of the ESC.
The Economic and Social Council is committed to transfer these demands to the Regional Government.
The mayor of Cartagena, Ana Belén Castejón, assures that "for Cartagena it is a source of pride that, on the occasion of its 25th anniversary, the Economic and Social Council has decided to come to celebrate this plenary meeting in March.
It is an unequivocal sign that, of course, Cartagena must be on the agenda of the Regional Government and as many agencies as necessary.
We can not advance in the regional context without taking Cartagena into account ".
In addition, the first mayor of the city, Ana Belén Castejón, also wanted to highlight the role of the Economic and Social Council of the Region of Murcia as "a tool that serves us all so that we have the assurance that participation will be guaranteed citizen, which for all is fundamental ".
In the plenary session of the ESC, the opinion of this body on comprehensive intervention in early care has been presented.
The Economic and Social Council of the Region of Murcia gives its approval to the draft Decree by which early care is regulated universally and free of charge.
For this purpose, a provision framework is established that provides guarantees of legal security to the users of the service.
It would cover the child population from 0 to 6 years of the Region of Murcia.
After the meeting, the members of the Economic and Social Council held a meeting with economic and social agents of Cartagena.
In this meeting, issues from different areas have been discussed.
The president of the Economic and Social Council of the Region of Murcia, José Antonio Cobacho, says it is an honor to be in Cartagena, a city with good memories.
Cobacho recalls that the CES celebrates 25 years, and that is why they are holding their plenary sessions outside the city of Murcia.
