These are 'minicourses' of 40 hours aimed at people registered as unemployed, with the aim of specifically preparing tests leading to an accredited degree
Cartagena will host from next April English courses of the program 'Region of Murcia Speaks Languages' of the Community, aimed at the unemployed and that include free tuition in exams leading to titles like the 'First' or the 'Advanced'.
This battery of courses, lasting 40 hours, is only held for the moment at the facilities of Murcia of the entity that provides the training, Euroformac.
The program covers the participation of unemployed people in official accreditation tests of the level in English, specifically of the Cambridge and Oxford entities.
This initiative, launched by the Ministry of Employment, Universities, Business and Environment through the Regional Employment and Training Service (SEF), seeks to bring the unemployed to the labor market by providing them with access to a prestigious degree in this language.
In addition, the SEF has renewed until 2020 this program, which is specifically oriented to prepare these exams, during a brief and intense academic period.
The Cartagena courses will be held in the facilities that Euroformac has in the port city.
The only requirements to access these courses are to be unemployed with demand for active employment in the Region of Murcia, and perform a test of previous level.
Pre-registration can be formalized through the Internet, on the Euroformac website (https://www.grupoeuroformac.com/cursos-gratuitos-2019/murcia-habla-idiomas/).
In addition, face-to-face classes with native teachers are joined by a training platform 'on line', in order to expand the content for the student.
Approximately every fifteen days, a new group prepares exams, with two possible shifts, two hours of class per day, on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays;
or two and a half hours, on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
In a period of between five and fifteen days after the conclusion, the student will take the certification test.
The titles to which these tests lead include, in the case of Cambridge, the 'Key' (level A2), the 'First' (level B2) and the 'Advanced' (level C1).
As for Oxford, the accreditations available to students are the 'Pre-Elementary' (A1), the 'Elementary' (A2), the 'Intermediate' (B1), the 'Pre-Advanced' (B2) and the 'Advanced' (C1).
