The Local Government Board, meeting this morning under the chairmanship of the mayor, Ana Belén Castejón, has given its approval to the project of preparation of the Paseo Marítimo Miguel Hernández de Los Urrutias written by the Ministry of Environment and Ecological Transition.
The agreement, in addition to approving the project, makes available to the ministry the land of municipal ownership necessary for its execution and assumes the municipal commitment of its maintenance after its completion.
As explained by the Councilor for Public Services, Juan Pedro Torralba, this is the first phase of the walk, with a length of more than 700 meters, in the stretch between the Plaza de las Américas and the intersection with Ponce de León Street .
The ministry will tender the work for an amount of 1,382,000 euros and a deadline of nine months.
The action includes the demolition of the current walkway, the construction of retaining walls, paving and providing lighting, gardening and urban furniture.
DISTINCTIONS OF THE LOCAL POLICE
The Governing Board has also approved the draft Regulation of Distinctions of the Local Police, which must be approved by the municipal plenary.
Through personal congratulations and crossings to the dedication to service and professional merit, we will try to distinguish the actions or behaviors of extraordinary relief made by the members of this body, as well as the service times in it, during 25 and 30 years.
The distinctions of greater relief will be granted by the full City Council and delivered on the occasion of the employer of the Local Police, San Leandro.
WORLD EXPIRATION '82
The Governing Board has also initiated the file to extinguish the administrative concession of the public domain constituted by the exclusive use of the subsoil and surface of the plot located in Ensanche - Almarjal, of the so called '82 World, for the construction and later exploitation of a field soccer, sports complex, office building and underground parking by the Football Federation of the Region of Murcia.
The expiration file of the concession is processed by the City Council after the repeated breach of the specifications since its award in December 2011 and after the federation submitted last February a project that substantially altered the conditions and characteristics of the concession.
ADLE SCHOLARSHIPS
Finally, among other matters, the Local Government Board has approved the bases and the convocation of twelve scholarships for newly-graduated students of the Agency for Local Development and Employment whose purpose is to carry out internships in Italy and Portugal, in the frame of the mobility project Erasmus + program.
