Ana Alcolea, author of 'The embrace of the tree' (Editorial Ayala), will be from March 20 to 22 with students of 2nd Primary from different schools in the municipality to talk about their book.
The visit of the author from Zaragoza to Cartagena is part of the Encounters with Author organized by the Municipal Libraries of Cartagena.
On Wednesday, March 20, at 9, 11 and 12:30 in the Luzzy Auditorium, Ana Alcolea meets with students.
The author from Zaragoza will talk about her book 'El abrazo del árbol' with students from the schools of La Vaguada, Maristas, Fernando Garrido, CEIP La Concepción and the Luis Vives school in El Abujón.
On Thursday, March 21, the Encounters with Author of Ana Alcolea continue.
The writer will present 'El abrazo del árbol', at 9:30 and 11 am, to children from Vicente Ros, San Felix and Ciudad Jardin.
The meeting will take place at the Manuel Puig Campillo Library in Barrio Peral.
On Friday, March 22, the author from Aragon will talk about 'El abrazo del árbol' at the Rafael Rubio Library in Los Dolores.
Students from the Sacred Heart, San Cristóbal and Nuestra Señora de los Dolores schools will exchange opinions on Ana Alcolea's book at 9:30, 11 and 12:30.
ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Ana Alcolea was born in Zaragoza in 1962. She has a degree in Hispanic Philology and a diploma in English Philology.
She has been a professor of Language and Literature for more than twenty-five years, and has published didactic editions of plays and numerous articles on the teaching of Language and Literature.
Loves to know other cultures and other languages.
In 2009 appears his first novel for adults, Under the lion of San Marcos.
In Anaya has published the juvenile novels The lost medallion, The portrait of Carlota, Where they learn to fly the seagulls, The forest of dead trees, The darkest night (VIII Anaya Award for Children and Youth Literature, White Ravens 2012 and CCEI Award 2012), The secret of the galleon and The secret of the mirror (both recommended by the Cuatrogatos Foundation);
and two children's books: The embrace of the tree and Castles in the air.
In 2016, she was awarded the Cervantes Chico Prize.
