This Friday, March 15 at the Ramón Alonso Luzzy Cultural Center will take place the talk "The new common goods: opportunities and limitations" from 8pm by the PhD in philosophy and professor at the Faculty of Sociology at the Complutense University of Madrid , César Rendueles, within the cycle "Thinking about the Ecosocial Transition" of the Cartagena Piensa program.
The need for reflection that the Madrid professor will bring to Cartagena is born of the brutal crisis of accumulation facing global capitalism, which is fueling the criticism not only of the dominant economic models but also of the forms of social ties that had been normalized in the last thirty years.
The growing attention to the so-called "common goods" is a fundamental element of this counter-hegemonic dynamic that, nevertheless, faces numerous and deep dilemmas.
In particular, the fragilization of personal relationships characteristic of mercantilizing globalization poses a crucial challenge for any political project that aspires to a deepening in enlightened and emancipatory democracy.
The talk will be presented by Belén Rosa de Gea, who is part of the group promoting the "Cartagena Piensa" program, a program that develops over time from various complementary lines of intervention, among which are the cycles "Thinking about the Social Transition ", which includes this talk," Living conditions, medicine and health "," Encounters of feminist thought "and" Think about the place, think about the city and think about the territory ".
In addition, this quarter, have been scheduled, within "Cartagena Piensa" solidarity days, philosophy workshops for all ages and "Cafés with science and thought."
