The Mobile Sales Board met on Tuesday, March 12, under the chairmanship of the area councilor, Juan Pedro Torralba, to agree on the award schedule for a total of 269 vacancies at the town's markets.
They have also assisted the mayor of the Economic Strategy area, Carmen Martín, and the councilors of the Esperanza Nieto City Council, Manuel Padín, Isabel García and Francisco Martínez Muñoz.
In fact, before the end of March, Vía Pública will initiate the process, so that the current holders of posts can request improvements between said vacancies and, once this is done, the rest of the free positions will go out to public adjudication.
The mayor of Public Services, Juan Pedro Torralba, highlighted the good weather among those attending the Meeting, which has led to an understanding.
"I think we have done a lot of previous work with all the associations of merchants so that all the proposals that we have taken to the Board have the greatest possible consensus," Torralba said.
Specifically, 3 posts will go out to the El Algar flea market, 8 in La Aljorra, 11 in La Azohía, 15 in Barrio Peral, 24 in the San Cristóbal neighborhood (El Bohío), 40 in Cabo de Palos, 14 in Los Dolores, 6 in Isla Plana, 2 in Islas Minores, 3 in El Llano del Beal, 27 in Los Nietos, 14 in La Palma, 16 in Pozo Estrecho, 39 in Ribera de San Javier, 29 in Mediterranean Urbanization and 18 in The Urrutias.
In addition, modifications have been approved in the neighborhoods of Barrio Peral, Los Belones, Ribera de San Javier, La Aljorra, Los Dolores, La Palma, La Azohia, Los Urrutias, El Algar, El Llano del Beal, Pozo Estrecho, Urbanización Mediterráneo , Islas Minores, Isla Plana, Cabo de Palos and Barrio San Cristóbal, and a new location for the Los Nietos market is being studied.
With these modifications the accessibility of the market itself will be improved and the passage of emergency vehicles is guaranteed.
"What we have done has been to reorder the location of the posts for reasons of accessibility and security, but ensuring that all traders can continue to have a place in that market," said the council.
