The cycle of encounters with the finalist authors of the 2019 Hache Award comes to an end with the visit of the writer Fernando Lalana on 13 and 14 March in Cartagena, where he will meet with hundreds of readers to present and defend his novel 'The Gorky Commando '(Edebé).
After the author's visit begins the reflection period of the popular Hache Award jury (almost two thousand young people between 12 and 14 years old) until the official voting that will take place at the end of April through the Mandarache Project website.
Its program of meetings will begin on the 13th at 10:30 am in the Auditorium of the UPCT with six hundred high school students, although previously, at 10 am, the author will have held a press conference in the Board Room of the UPCT (Old Marine Hospital).
In the afternoon that same day at 17: 15h will visit the Intercultural Center of Casco Antiguo (Graduate Schools) where he will hold an exclusive meeting with young people from these centers dependent on the Department of Social Services.
After this, at 7:00 p.m., he will visit the ARQVA Museum Library to meet with the members of the literary creation workshop Libreta Mandarache.
On the 14th it will start at 9am visiting the IES Los Molinos and will finish its activities meeting with two hundred high school students at 11am in the auditorium of the Fundación Caja Mediterráneo (Main Street).
Fernando Lalana is a milestone in juvenile literature and has the most important Spanish literary prizes in the field of Children's and Young People's Literature, including the National Prize and the Cervantes Chico.
He is also the author of the successful novel 'Morirás en Chafarinas', which was taken to the cinema in the 90s by Pedro Olea.
