Last Sunday, March 10, the 6th edition of the Solidarity Mile took place with more than 1,500 participants who gathered at the Wissel de Guimbarda Sports Pavilion street and at Los Juncos Park, organized by La Huertecica in collaboration with the Department of Sports of the City of Cartagena.
The objective of the conference was to raise funds for the risk reduction programs associated with drugs in the social emergency centers of Cartagena and Murcia, which ended with a total of 4,000 euros collected.
The event was divided into a march in which more than 700 people participated, together with various leisure and sports activities in the park of Los Juncos, in which another 600 people participated, such as Zumba workshops, among which were the Councilor for Social Services. , Mercedes García, and the Councilor for Sports, Manuel Mora, who joined the competition joining the course with his dorsal solidarity.
At the end of the day, the councilor was in charge of awarding the trophies of the winners in the children's and youth tests, while Mora handed out the prizes to the rest of the participants.
The activities were possible thanks to the collaboration of 140 volunteers from the Mile La Huertecica de Cartagena who managed to put an end to zero waste in the environment and without plastics thanks to Hidrogea.
